PARLE POPPINS

Ram and Shyam were the Poppins' mascots, and they'd be doing Poppins all the time. Yes, "doing Poppins". It was like a drug to these kids.... they always had some on them, and each of their T-Shirts was adorned with the image of a giant Poppins sweet. Besides constantly reminding you that only genuine Poppins came in a silver striped pack, they used their own stash to get out of some pretty tricky jams like being captured by angry tribals.

Even as a kid, this particular story bothered me. We finally make contact with an intelligent alien, one that comes from a culture sufficiently advanced to be capable of intergalactic flight... and what do Ram and Shyam do? Decide to keep him as a pet. A pet! What is more disturbing about this is that the alien is obviously a very intelligent being, as can be seen from his high forehead, pointy ears and fear of Ram and Shyam.
